arc / stick welding

Arc Welding also known as STICK or Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), is a manual arc welding process that uses a consumable electrode coated in flux to prevent the atmosphere from contaminating the weld. It is the most portable type of welding that only requires a welding source and the correct electrode. An electric current, in the form of either alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC) from a welding power supply, is used to form an electric current between the electrode and the metals to be joined.
