MIG - shielded gas - fluxcore
MIG welders are designed to be used with either fluxcore wire or shielded gas. The fuxcore welding machine does not require the use of shielded gas. The machine is simply a power supply with a torch that feeds fluxcore wire. It is more portable than a machine that uses the shielded gas process. The quality of weld is sacrificed using fluxcore but can be used for many applications. Gas shielded machines provide the cleanest welds. Machines vary greatly in price and size based on its applications.
